Lovely to hear of your activities Sinù …So sorry you’ve endured the issues with your pregnancy (tough enough when it’s your first , you’re writing /creating and trying to oversea the creation of the space for your family life ….Im hoping the last few weeks are calm , baby continues to develop safely and you can stay positive and get some rest !Life is never the same once the babies arrive !

It’s Spring here - glorious wildflowers in bloom , still lots of rain , birdlife galore and all the bird babies - adorable !Wee grey cygnets trailing after their mama and papa black swans , screechy cockatoos descending in clouds on pine /fruit trees ,(of course there’s a rain of ravaged seed pods , leaves and ..poo !!

Still a chill in early morning and evenings but the sky is full of stars and the Southern Cross clearly visible …No complaints from me - I relish it , feeling the beauty , peace and safety as the blessed gifts they are …..

Just focus on your little family Sinu - these are precious moments (pass so fast - my babies are all grown up now)I’m so happy we worked hard to give them everything we felt could help them - music , arts, song , poetry , words and the joy of growing in a clean safe country , full of wonder and challenge …

Wishing you deep restful sleep , quiet calm days as you prepare for the arrival of your precious baby ..My thoughts and a prayer for your safety and her safe arrival go out to you ..Can’t wait to see her and read your words when you are able to share them …

Warmest wishes from Perth , Australia !

Nedra 🤗❤️

Been thinking of you Sinu , a world away in Venice ..I’m in the vibrant city of Melbourne , the breadth of a continent away from Perth , my home city …Here for a world conference looking at prehabilitation - a movement to optimize our patients for the surgery they need , whether to enable their movement (joint replacement) free them from cancer (bladder, bowel, gynaecological and urological cancers ) or other diseases

- plenty of impassioned colleagues from Canada, NZ, Italy, Spain,UK,Singapore,Korea,India,Sri Lanka,Netherlands,France and Denmark to name a few …

-No one from the US (they are not a people who believe in universal access to healthcare alas !)

- I’m realizing how blessed we are in this sunny , peaceful place even as I hear of war in Lebanon , Gaza and so many other places…My heart is wrung as I see those helpless women , children and elderly people traumatized by the bombs /destruction of crazy egomaniacal power crazed men ..

- Wishing you quiet blessed moments of joy with your baby and partner .They are precious and fleeting ..Cherish them ..

A warm hug from Australia !🤗❤️

Hello lovely Nedra, thank you so much for your kind words. I completely agree with you, and I'm looking forward to just embrace this new season of life and experience it fully before it slips away like tiny grains of sand. Just one thought: your children must be so proud of you and all the love you keep giving them. Wishing you a wonderful spring!

Much love,

Sinù xx

Sinu , you crystallised something so beautifully …My children are the greatest most meaningful creations of my existence …Yes , I have an incredible job , great responsibility and enormous daily obligations ..I never really felt grown up til those deep infant eyes looked into mine ..Of course I can never rest easy again .Parenthood is plain terrifying …I will never really rest easy - I will always feel their fears , struggle to trust that all the years of discipline and struggle will be there to guide them when they need it most ..Every suffering or endangered young life will be felt in a way that a childless person cannot conceive …

Somehow I feel you will be an instinctual , warm , joyous mother …Trust your instincts , ask for help and treasure the feel of that child’s innocent flesh , the poignancy of that trusting tiny beating heart next to yours …I can recreate every one of my babies smells and sensations - their warm sleeping weight in my arms and those nights when I dreamed of the coming years with hope and trepidation …..What an adventure - what a blessing ….Cant wait to see your baby - to see you experience this gift ..Safe passage in the weeks to come ..Prayers are sent to Our Lady to be with you …Love Nedra

Hello Sally! What a wonderful coincidence, isn't it. She may still decide to come a little earlier or later on, but given that she's a Virgo, she might as well be very precise with her due date. Either ways, I'll make sure to send you virtual birthday wishes this Friday.

Hugs,

Sinù xx
